Gerard O’Sullivan is the Director for the Consumer Affairs Unit of the Connecticut Insurance Department. He oversees a team of specialists, who help policyholders understand their coverage, navigate the claims process and help settle disputes with insurers.

The unit helps recover more than $4 million a year on behalf of consumers.

 

Prior to taking this position with the Insurance Department he held several positions in the insurance industry including claims management, sales management and compliance.

Gerard graduated from Quinnipiac University and received a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Attorney Jeffrey P. Dressler is a practicing attorney in Hartford, Connecticut where he was born and raised in Hartford's north end and educated in inner-city schools.

 

After graduating from the University of Connecticut, he received a diploma in Hispanic studies from the University of Salamanca in Spain and earned his law degree from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is a member of the Puerto Rican, Connecticut and Pennsylvania bars and is admitted to the United States District Courts for Puerto Rico and Connecticut, as well as the Federal Court of Appeals for the First District in Boston. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, The Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, The Inter American Bar Association as well as the National Hispanic and Connecticut Hispanic Bar Associations.

 

A multi-faceted individual, Attorney Dressler is a former radio station owner, a third degree black belt, ring announcer, actor, USA Boxing supporter, motivational speaker, bilingual and multi-cultural community activist, and creator of Mega Education® a Scholastic Incentive System designed  for recognition and motivation of inner-city school children. The program has become a conduit for creative, socially responsible corporate sponsorship of scholastic incentives as a manner in which to motivate our youth. What a concept!
